The rumors started on Sunday on Facebook as one of the owner's posted "sorry The Grilled Asparagus is now closed my partner stole all the money."

Business Announcements on Facebook a Good Idea?

woah! Needless to say a slew of comments ensued shortly thereafter. First of all, we'd like to remind our readers, especially those running Facebook pages for their businesses, that maybe it's not the best idea to post important business related announcements on Facebook. Let Facebook be an avenue for your fans and visitors to congregate and share in the things they enjoy about your business, but making official company announcements via social media...probably not the best idea.

Especially considering that now there appears to be legal proceedings regarding the relationship between the owners and the status of the restaurant. We're not going to go into juicy details, you can find out yourself by reading the paper, checking out the Facebook page, and any other number of avenues.

Another Vegetarian Restaurant Coming to Winston?

Instead, we shake our heads in disappointment as a much heralded entry into the vegetarian restaurant niche closes its doors. Let's hope there will be another one, with sound business plan and management, to take its place before long.
